Hello! My name is Kindra Mendall.
As a Bay Area native, I grew up in San Jose loving all things science, both in the classroom and out in nature. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Geology from Occidental College and a Masters in Environmental Sciences from the University of Virginia. I worked as a Senior Environmental Scientist specializing in endangered species and water issues at a consulting firm before becoming a stay-at-home Mom and full time volunteer.
This is my 4th year working in the science lab at Sunol Glen. I get to instill my love of science in our students by supporting our teaching staff as we implement the Next Generation Science Standards. I support all Sunol Glen teachers and work with students in all grades. I look forward to seeing your student in the science lab!
My husband, Al, and I live in Hayward. We have a daughter, Ellette, who is a Junior in High School and a son, Caden, who is a Freshman. Both went to Sunol Glen school from K-8th grade. I loved my time at Sunol Glen as a parent and volunteer and love that I get to continue to be part of this amazing learning environment.
