Hello and Welcome to Sunol Glen,

 

Welcome to our beautiful and charming school.  I feel honored to have the opportunity to be the Superintendent / Principal working with our incredible, highly skilled and talented staff members who are all dedicated to your children.

 

I would like to share a little bit about myself: I earned my Bachelors of Arts degree in English from Santa Clara University and I earned my Teaching Credential in English and my Master’s Degree in Administration from San Jose State University.  I began my educational career in Fremont where I taught High School English at my alma mater, Kennedy High School.  It was an incredible experience to be a teacher at the same place where I had been a student!  I later entered into administration and served as a secondary level administrator for four years in Fremont before relocating to Brentwood where I was the Junior High School Principal for several years.  I have been in education for over 32 years; the past 11 of which have been here at Sunol Glen School.  

 

I am passionate about doing what is best for kids.   There are few things in life more rewarding then the joy of witnessing a student develop and grow - which is something I have the privilege of seeing each and every day at our school.  To see kids enter into Kindergarten or to be new to our school and observe them move from being shy or reserved and unsure to then seeing them up on the stage during one of our assemblies, or coming to the front office to make an announcement over the PA system or even standing up in class and participating – it truly brings a lump to my throat even thinking about it!

 

When I am not spending time with our amazing Sunol Glen kiddos, I enjoy spending time with my family.  I have been married to my wonderful husband, Mark, for 27 years and we have two amazing sons, Dalton and Conor.  I enjoy reading, taking walks and traveling; but mostly, I enjoy spending time with my family.

 

I feel like I have the best job in the world and I thank all of the parents for entrusting your most precious treasure – your children – to us each and every day!
