Our vision is to create a safe and supportive learning environment where academic excellence and personal growth thrive. We value collaboration, respect, and inclusivity, empowering every student to become a responsible and engaged citizen. We envision a community where all students achieve their personal goals—academically, socially, physically, and emotionally—preparing them for success in college and careers within a global society. Through strong partnerships and a commitment to continuous improvement, we inspire every student's lifelong love of learning.

 

MISSION

We, the entire Sunol Glen staff, parent body, and community of Sunol, will foster an environment that will produce goal-oriented students, lifelong learners, and productive members of society through continuous evaluation and improvement. In addition, the District embraces 21st-century skills for every student, inclusive of the following 5 C's:

  • Critical Thinking & Problem Solving

  • Communication

  • Collaboration

  • Creativity

  • Civic Engagement & Responsibility

CORE VALUES

  1. Resources will be allocated to develop practices and cultivate critical and creative thinking to ensure that every student meets or exceeds standards.

  2. Decisions will be made that demonstrate inclusiveness, modeling professional integrity through processes that are respectful, transparent, and proactively engaging to parents, students, and staff.

  3. An inquiry cycle will be administered to demonstrate our commitment to excellence with the target of continuous improvement and encouragement toward responsible, creative, and initiative-type decisions.

  4. Professional Development will be offered to enhance our curriculum with alignment to the Common Core Standards in readiness for student mastery of 21st-century skills (5 C's)

STUDENT OUTCOMES

The District's goals are to meet or exceed State expectations for pupil performance on the Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA) and California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP). Student engagement will be measured by the successful attainment of 97% average daily attendance (ADA) rate.
