ESSER III Plan

The ESSER III Plan refers to funding provided under the American Rescue Plan (ARP), which allocated significant resources to K-12 schools to help address the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. ESSER stands for Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief, and ESSER III is the third round of funding, specifically designated for recovery and improving educational outcomes.

  • Addressing learning loss: Through tutoring, summer programs, and academic support.

  • Supporting safe in-person learning: Health and safety measures, including PPE and improved ventilation.

  • Mental health and social-emotional support: Programs to help students cope with the pandemic’s emotional impacts.

  • Technology and infrastructure: Expanding digital learning access.

ESSER III prioritizes support for students most affected by the pandemic, with districts having the flexibility to tailor funding to local needs. For more information click here to view Sunol Glen ESSER III Expenditure Plan.
