School Accountability Report Card (SARC)

The School Accountability Report Card (SARC) was established by Proposition 98, an initiative passed by California voters in 1998. This report card is issued annually by local school boards for each school in California. It provides parents and other interested community members with information on at least 17 aspects of the school, its resources, successes, and areas where improvements are needed.

California public schools annually provide information about themselves to the community allowing the public to evaluate and compare schools for student achievement, environment, resources, and demographics. For more information, please refer to the California Department of Education website.
